What information we collect
We collect information when you use our app, register, subscribe, or submit a form.
- Name or username
- Phone numbers
- Email addresses
- Billing addresses
- Age-related information
Health-related data
As a baby and child tracking app, SNUGL stores health and development data that you voluntarily enter about your child.
- Feeding data such as breastfeeding sessions, bottle amounts, solids, and schedules
- Sleep data such as sleep and nap duration, start and end times, and notes
- Diaper data such as changes, types, and notes
- Growth data such as weight, height, and head circumference
- Health notes such as medication, temperature, symptoms, and free notes
- Milestone data and related dates
- Activity data such as tummy time or other custom routines
Device permissions
Some features optionally request device permissions.
- Photo library access: Used to upload images for profiles or entries. This permission is optional and can be denied.
How we use your information
We use the collected data to provide and improve SNUGL.
- To personalize your experience
- To improve the app and its features
- To respond to support requests
- To process subscriptions and transactions
- To send necessary emails related to your account or service
Email usage
If you provide your email address, we may send you service-related emails, for example about support cases, your account, or your subscription. We do not send unsolicited commercial spam.
Retention and deletion
We keep information only as long as necessary to provide SNUGL or to comply with legal obligations.
- Account data is retained while your account is active.
- Tracking and health data is retained while your account is active so you can access the full history.
- Billing and payment records may be retained for up to 6 years where legally required.
- Support and communication records may be retained for up to 2 years after resolution.
Deleting your data
You can delete your account directly in the app by opening Settings, finding the Account section, and confirming account deletion.
You can also send a deletion request to [email protected] from the email address linked to your account.
Active personal and health data is removed from our active systems within 60 days after deletion. Encrypted backups may remain for a limited period and are then purged as well.
Crash reports
If the app crashes or runs into an error, it sends a pseudonymous technical error report to our Supabase servers in the EU. The report contains the error message, the stack trace (the place in the program code where the error occurred), the app version, the operating system version, the device platform and a random installation ID that is not linked to your account. It contains no names, no information about your child, no entries and no account ID.
We use these reports solely to find and fix errors. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a stable app (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The reports are deleted automatically after 90 days. You can switch this off at any time in the app under Settings → “Send crash reports”.
How we protect your information
We use technical and organizational safeguards to protect personal data, including secure transmission, access restrictions, and protected infrastructure. No method can guarantee absolute security.
If you use Snugl without an account or without cloud sync, your entries stay on your device only; the app then only transmits crash reports (unless switched off) and, if you have an account, your account and subscription data.
Children and minors
SNUGL is intended for parents and guardians. The data stored in the app is entered by adults about their child. We do not knowingly collect personal data directly from children under 13.
Information for US residents
We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. SNUGL uses no advertising or tracking services in the app or on this website.
Depending on the state you live in (for example California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia or Washington), you may have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to get a copy of it, to correct it and to have it deleted. You can delete your account and all of its data at any time in the app under Settings. For any other request, email [email protected]. We will not treat you differently for using these rights.
The baby tracking data you enter (such as feedings, sleep, diapers and growth) may count as consumer health data under some state laws. We use it only to provide the app's features to you, never for advertising, and we never sell it.
Your data is stored on servers in the European Union.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when our service or legal requirements change. We will notify you before material changes take effect whenever required.
